Biggest tire you can fit under a short-tub Hustler

Recently I managed to get a hold of some 26x12-12 tires from a Max IV that I was able to test fit on my Hustler. As you can see in the pics, they fit like a glove, even with my machine being a stock 900. I'd reckon I could even squeeze 27s under there if I got the notion to, considering I have more than an inch clearance on all sides, as well as 4-5 inches clearance between the tires and the side of the tub.

Just thought I'd share the results of my little test, it should open up way more tire opportunities for those of us that don't have a Bigfoot and didn't know how big of a tire they could fit.

Thanks for sharing the photos. I'm assuming you have to relocate the exhaust with the larger tires?

Yeah, that would definitely need to be done. It works out well on my machine since I'm running a Honda clone instead of the original 2 stroke.
