Well, I didn't either. Now if you take engine rotation into account, it gets simple. I am not the smartest around, doh.

Watched a bunch of videos. Found the problem, Left bands in the right side and wrong side bands on the other side. Glad I did not try to run it as was. Thanks for the input. Just a PITA to re-do work...
I cracked it open again. Just to verify left twist bands go to the clutch side and right twist to the other side ? Top plunger controls the forward drum and bottom the rearward drum. So which drum...
Diamonds are in the correct place. Engine is not in yet. T20 is in and axles and chains and laterals. It is just 180 out. pull back for forward. push for reverse. Going to pull the t20 and check the...
Yep connected correctly. Just 180 out. reverse I push and it engages. Probably have the bands in wrong. Just can't see how.
I am rebuilding a hustler 980. I overhauled the t-20. I put the diamonds in forward and the bands engage when I pull the laterals. It brakes when I push forward??? what did I do wrong??
Thanks, I will double check. It is only 2 clicks out. Don't think I could get 2 turns if I tried.
Standard T20 steel clutch. Will try 2 turns. Thanks.
Hi, I took my driven apart but due to all the crud. Did not mark the helix to re-align. Any idea how much turns to clock this. T20 trans original driven.
Thanks, mine is a deep tub 980. Pain to get to it from the inside. But I guess that where it need to go.
What kind of drain plug is that. I have a cam latch boat plug. Not to sure about that, if it snags and pops out I'm sinking.
Thanks, That seems smaller the driven I got now. I will see what happens with the current sprockets. So go with a green spring from these folks?
What sprocket size would you recommend.
I ended up trading a dirtbike for a 980 deep tub. I am rebuilding the whole thing. I have a rotax 503 that is going in it. Now I am re doing the T20. Question is what spring should I use in the...
Rock Doctor a cracked seat is not a bad thing. When the air temp rises and the back pressure rises it might become too much, if not for a crack.:D
My first post, so howdy all. I use a Rhino 120 for my hunting needs ( Roscommon area, MI) for running and biking I use a Garmin 310 XT and as back up I have Phone with Google maps on it. I will not...
