    chains?????

Has any one ever tried the heavy duty chains???? At Farm & Fleet I can get a 10 foot #50 chain for around 12$ They also have a #50D chain for around 25$!! I compaired the two, D being a much beefier chain. Would I have enough clearance???? Is it worth the extra mony????

I just pulled all 6 chains off of my Hustler and they have 530 stamped on them. How does this compare to a 50 or 50D?

Year unknown, engine Chaparral size unknown, still trying to find out what I have. Looks like the 980 Bigfoot on the other site. (Route 6x6) Pics on the thread "I just got a Hustler and I have questions"

    chains

a 530 and a #50 roller chain both fit the same spocket. All the measurements where the chains meet the spocket are the same. The difference is a 530 is a beefier heavier chain. A 530 O ring chain is even heavier with O ring seals on every link. #50 chains are normaly used in industrial applications.

Yeah, that looks like a 950 and someone put a Xenoah LC in it. The 340 and 440 were both popular engines and still fairly easy to get parts for. Either one should push the machine right along!
