    Clutch noise

I have a max 2 and the secondary clutch started making noise about half way open. Should there be any play when you lift on the clutch? It is a small amount but does move.

Are the 3 ramp guides ( buttons) in place, one broke will cause a ruckus.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

The rubber pieces? All there. To me it seemed like the clutches are out of line. How does one line them up?

I should have asked, what type of noise is present? Is there a power loss? Is your belt slipping?
It could be a worn belt, worn spring, sheared key, snap ring yadayadayada.
There is generally some in out play in a t20, you may feel this going up and down.

There is a clutch guide on the home page.

No power lose. I think it is the belt itself. Going to check out the aliment and go from there. Thanks for the input

Not sure if this will address your specific situation but you mentioned alignment. Check out page 6.

Looks to me as the clutchs are not lined up and the belt deflection is over 2 inches. Will try and adjust it and wd.them this weekend

check for uneven belt wear or secondary bushing wear. excessive secondary bushing wear will give you a very noisy clutch.

Sounds as if a new belt may be a good start, the clutches are slightly off center by design. As jbf stated the bushing wear may be an issue though I don not think comet clutches are as sensitive as the Argo clutches are to bushing wear. If you can spin the movable face free of the hub? ( drew a blank there) and it rocks noticeably bushing is suspect.
Your belt should sit about 1\8 or so above the driven when new, check the belt for glazing, check the spring for any seriously reformed coils especially multiples.

Posting a picture of your clutches and belt could draw some possible answers.
