Nice Sidewinder! Looks like it's in great condition too. The Kohler K341 is a great little engine, and shouldn't give you any trouble.

I'm sure there are some guys who can tell us exactly which one we need for the Hustler. It's a pretty standard one which I'm sure can be sourced from some other piece of equipment.

That gas cap/gauge won't work with the Hustler/Sidewinder tank. For one thing, it's too long. Your tank is only about 7" deep (8" to the top of the filler neck). I bought one just like it but 2" shorter, and it was threaded for a threaded filler neck. You can get a NOS cap/gauge like the one you have from Richard Clark, but he sells them for $30 each. I put a sending unit from Summit racing in my tank, and used a GM gas guage from Equus. Total cost is around $50, but it goes well with my full set of gauges and dash panel.

I just posted that link for a reference to appearance. No, that particular gauge will not work. That one is too tall and also threaded. I believe that I've found one that will. Once I get it, I'll post it if it does. I love your dash. That looks great!

Holly **** Jeff!!!!!! That's the exact machine I have, rollbar and all!!! I wish mine was that nice when I got it. It had a badly bent front axle and had been left in the weather for 8 years. I'm just now getting around to a rebuild.Trying to gather enough info n advice to proceed. I am no newbe to the ATV world or machines, just this model. Had a Max II in Alaska. I'm trying to figure how to get these freakin axles out. Your posting helped me finally answer what model I have. Says Sidewinder on the rear panels n has an 18 hp Briggs with 271 hours on it. I hate the color (same as yours) and Im gonna color the bottom black. Good luck with yours and be glad it has a roll bar cause I wouldn't drive one without one!!! My Max almost killed me in the bush. Flipped over backwards on top of me just when I hit a small hummock. Have fun Dan
