    Where do I find the vin # on a hustler 950?

    There really isn't a "VIN" on the machines. Typically, there is a number stamped into the top of the aluminum transmission case (or on the steel tag if it's still riveted to the case). Some folks have had luck registering a machine based on this number only. Neither the frames or the HDPE bodies ever carried a number to my knowledge. I doubt you'll be able to discern an accurate "year" from the tag, though. Just make one up when you generate a receipt.

    Ive got a transmission with that tag and number on it, ill be going to the dmv to get answers on how to proceed.

    I usually happen to find the VIN on machines like this right around the time I find my stamping dies....weird how that works out.
