    Is it an Amphicat?

Hello everyone! Excited to be part of the group. I am going to be picking up this 6x6 on Friday, but am hoping to get confirmation that it actually is an Amphicat. The guy I am picking it up from has no clue, and was only able to get it stared once upon a time with starter fluid. I see a metal plate under it which has me concerned with potential holes and it's ability to float. The thing that is really throwing me off though is that it doesn't have headlights where the holes normally are for all the Amphicat I have seen on the web. As you can see they are positioned on top. Really no clue what to expect as this is the only picture I have so far. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I figured it was from the research I started doing last night about it. I thought for a while that it was a Hustler, but then I happened upon Amphicats and saw the same shape nose on it. The headlights threw me for a loop with their positioning. Very odd that they are not under where there currently are hooks. Any other bits of advice as I go to check it out tomorrow? I am thinking of trading a shotgun worth about 400 bucks for it, so I want to make sure I get my money's worth out of it, as I do like the shotgun too

Well I myself don’t know much about an amphicat but in my opinion depending on how you plan on riding one of these machines for example trail riding or just putting around. If your looking for reliability I would look for a machine with a t20 transmission. Like a max or an Attex. ABS bodies will crack but are easily repaired also. I prefer poly bodies which take a beating but either way ya go good luck on your project

I gave my Amphicat to a friend and he is not easy on it and just keeps on going.

Cool! There seems to be very little of them out there advertised for sale. Has me a little worried in case I need parts for it. But I like tinkering. The idea of having no restrictions from land to water has always intrigued me. This will probably develop into an unhealthy obsession
