    New Max II owner here....

Hey guys, new here. So far I've done some pretty good creeping around on here looking for information, but I spose I might as well go ahead and introduce myself and my new to me machine. I purchased a Max II serial number 2101 tonight as a project... Looking around here and on google, I found out its a 1970 year model. It's got the JLO 295 two stroke engine, but I'm debating if I want to transplant in a Honda V-Twin engine that I have laying around... I will go ahead and ask this though.. Can I possibly get some pictures of other early machines under the top half? Mines in pretty rough shape in terms of missing parts and chewed up wiring and such, and would just like to see some pictures of other machines under there so I can get a good idea where to start. Thanks in advance for that. Also, were these early ones like mine still made of HDPE or are they of some other construction? Mines got one drain hole custom enlarged by rats, and a few cracks and breaks... Even though I'm only 20 I'm a certified body tech and mechanic, so any kind of technical terms, throw em right at me lol...

Hi brunpup, welcome to the forum. I would think that your Max II is probably an ABS body. Acetone will melt ABS so you can test it to see if you aren't certain. For photos, check out the Max section of the gallery.
