    Max II Transmission Leak

    Hello
I have a Max II and I have a transmission leak. I checked the bolts on top of the transmission and they were a little loose. I am pretty sure that it's the same way under the transmission. I have never pulled the transmission before and I was wondering if this is a really hard job. Or if anyone has any advice to make it easier. Thank you in advance

Bushido... I figure you are refering to the mounting bolts... these need to be tight. The bottom four bolts shoulf have a sheet metal steel bar that has it's corners bent into the bolt heads. These bent corners act as bolt retainers - they keep these bolts from vibrating out.
You would need to bend them away from the bolt head to get a wrench (9/16" IIRC) on them to either tighten or remove. Bend these tabs back against the bolt head when you are done.

When I remove the engine and transmission I take photos with my smartphone of each bolt, wire, whatever I take off. This way I can view the pictures and use them as reminders on how to re-install the engine-trans.

There is a DIY in our How-To section with photos that will help you out: How to remove T20 from a Max II

Also, before you pull it out, where is your transmission leaking from? Have you checked the fluid level? If it is overfilled any, that can cause fluid to come out when it is hot. There are two plugs in the transmission. The top one is a vented plug that is removed to add fluid. The bottom one is the drain plug but it is also how you know where to fill the T20 to. Remove the bottom one and see if fluid comes out. If a lot comes out, it is overfilled. When you fill a T20, you should add fluid to the top hole until it comes out the bottom hole.

Just wanted to mention those things first to make sure it's not something simple and save you some time in pulling the T20.
