    Question for Noel Woods

    Hey Noel,
Stumbled across some pics. of your green MaxII in 2 configurations of tracks, both the factory rubber and the Adairs.
Question is in the rubber picture the machine looks to have a pre 78 lower tub, was there any clearance issues with the rubber? What spacers were needed?
With tires was there any noticeable difference in water speed between lowers? As I plan to build one and have been assuming there is.

I get why it was rebodied for the Adairs. Ok more than one question.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

This machine is actually a later model 2001 Max2. In the photo it had 2.5" spacers with the rubber tracks. No spacers with the Adair tracks required but that was after some heat gun body mods.

I can't speak to the differences in lower body design as I have no experience with that. What I can say is that when the rubber tracks are on the machine does not swim at all and has a disturbingly low freeboard regarding water level. With the Adair tracks it swims a bit slower than a standard Max2 with tires. The difference is that with the Adair tracks the machine is really a beast and I've never managed to stick or high center it.

    Thanks Noel,
after looking at pics again, the rubber tracks appear to cast a shadow looking like the older molded tub.
