    Is the tub on a Max 2 HDPE plastic?

    I want to move the muffler from above the rear wheel. There will be some holes to fill. Is the tub the same material as the top body piece? Mine has an early style tub.

    That should be a HDPE tub. 1974 and older tubs were molded around the front tires more. the '72 I had was HDPE. The other option would be ABS. Put some acetone on a white rag and rub it on the lower tub. if it is ABS, you will have black plastic on the rag when you are done
