    Wiring question

I am about ready to start making my wiring harness. I am no electrical genius for sure. I think I have everything figured out except for a red wire coming out of voltage regulator. two yellow wires from regulator are connected to two yellow wires from stator. A black wire from regulator is grounded to engine itself. Does red wire go to ignition switch?

The manuals in the max section on the front page of this site should have a wiring diagram for you showing the colors of the wiring. Check those out and let us know if you still don't see what you are looking for.

Don't hold me to this, if I read what you've written correctly the 2 wires on the regulator are going to alternator black goes to ground and red is currently free.
Plug to wiring harness would have black going to ground on key switch and red would plug into white( if equipped with an ammeter ) through ammeter at positive side and to key switch B. There would be a black to M terminal of switch to kill engine.
But I think I'm missing something.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.
