    Members have run without their tubs for fun when they had their machines apart but I don't know of anyone that is just simply running frame and drivetrain permanently. This photo always comes to mind, even 9 years later:


    The tub isn't a structural component to the chassis so that's not a problem but the ATV is a lot less useful without any kind of protection/floatation. I couldn't tell from your post if you were going to try to build onto the frame or just run the frame? If I were in your shoes, I would either try to repair the tub, get a used tub from someone here on the forum or part it out. Now, if you are planning on building something custom, I can get behind that idea as well.
