    TA440 Kawasaki for trail riding?

Recently picked up an 84 Max IV from a member here and it has the 2-stroke 440 in it. We ran it around the house a bit and it performed well. Went on about a 2 hr trail ride today and it started acting up, not wanting to run or rev. Had 40:1 mix in it so should have been well lubed so I am thinking perhaps it was overheating. Some one with experience on these talk me out of putting a Bandolero in it, I know a guy there.

Did you check the plugs to see if they were fouled? If your main use for the Max is trail riding, I'd go for the bandolero.
