    Max II ideas?

I was recently given a Max II with a 14HP Vanguard. I bought a foreclosed investment property and it was left in the garage. A neighbor put me in contact with the owner and he said it runs strong, has all new chains, and was mine if I wanted it since he had no place to store it and parts are becoming impossible to get. Also said it probably needs a lot of items replaced but that he had been using it for years with no problems. He cannot locate the bottom seat or floor board but is looking for them. What are my options with this atv? Are those parts and others available? Any opinions as to what its worth as it sits
and/or if it were totally restored? Any help much appreciated.

The parts are still out there and available, many of the parts are over the counter type items that you can get at an auto parts supply house or supplier such as Atwoods. The value could range from as low as a $1000 for a parts machine, up to $4000 for a machine in very good condition. There were many Max2s built over the years, so there is not collector's value associated with these, and this sounds like a base model since they were equipped with the 14hp B&S engine. Post up some digitals of the machine and we could probably zero in on the value. Also post up the year, if you don't know it but can find the serial# post that up and we can decode the year.
