    Thank you all for your replies. Those,plus all of the others that I've read elsewhere are generally very positive and encouraging.
    Regarding the MAX 2 platform,what then are all of the mods required for a 670 installation ?

    I would prefer not to have to alter anything to the point that the original B&S engine couldn't be re-installed,but doing so isn't at all a show stopper,given the performance increase. I won't mod the 670 other than to re-jet for the lean tendency mentioned. I've read elsewhere that between 2 to 4 hours initial break-in running is recommended,as are frequent oil changes every 30 hours.

    I'm looking forward to doing this upgrade.

    This thread suddenly went dead- c'mon boys,you all were quick to respond in favor of the Predator repower,did you 'forget' how the installation was done,or would prefer not to share the secret details ??

    Measure, align, affix, re measure, re align, reaffix, remove key switch box, adjoin wires, reroute cables, alter breather hose, alter exhaust. Basically.
