I have an original 440 cc jlo that i want to replace with a 4 cyl engine and swap kit. Someone told me i can use a comet 40 torqu converter. Can anyone suggest some ideas to me that you have learned from workign with them. Welcome to the boards, and congratulations on buying the Max.

Comet's 40 series may be a little light for your application. A 94C Duster would do much better, and you could most likely use the original driven clutch with a new spring from Recreatives.

Good luck.
