As Tim said,
I get the very best results at slow speed so the paddles or lugs can grip in the snow packed under the tracks.
Big powerful engines and high track speeds is doing no good in snow...
My 2008 Max IV have the same size bearings as the HDI... and as far as I could read about it, it ain't bulletproof.
sure, it is a very important point for a 120 mph snowmobile.
edit: I will be a complete d!ck and use spookum's statement to say that Adair tracks have very large and wide paddles; so I guess it...
I didn't say it can swim but as per the video, there's always a track touching the bottom so we can't say if it will swim or not.
And I think he made the tooling so he can build more sets and sell them.
So you were there and tested the tracks yourself ?
tell us more about it
mouhahhhahahhaha
Not mine, but a French-Canadian made a set of tracks for his 6x6.
I don't have the details
but he said both tracks on the balance show a 150 pounds weight (75 lbs each)
look like a steel...
and, we all know a polaris/suzuki dealer will put every effort in his argo product line [/sarcasm]
right now it's more than just "encouraging local business". it's more like accepting to bend over and take it where the sun don't shine.
Milk is 2.89$ a gallon while we pay 5.99$ for 4L... so it's...
what about Redoing the Hustler big foot tall tub 980 ?
it's easy to reverse engineer the drawings, correct the flaws but the poly body is still outrageously expensive.
it doesn't take much tooling for frame and other parts as you can get them cut by another shop for just a bit more than the value of steel.
What is not cheap is the tooling for the plastic body....
best investment : get a cottage or trailer south of the border;
IT'S A £u(king lot cheaper down in the US.
I paid 4000$ for a nice mobile home on a campground. The initial investment was paid...
On a more serious note, here is something even more important :
Even if the Adair track system is the most versatile 4 seasons traction system, The designer is clearly fully commited to make it...
I was smiling when I wrote that but I agree it's a good set of tracks that perform in most if not all conditions, something other track system cannot claim.
because here, the general consensus is that the Adair track system is a serious contender for a nobel price unless someone pop up with a cure for cancer.
and where did you get that rumour ? it wasn't on the french-canadian forums for sure.
it's the first time I hear about it.
Not sure the Canadian army equipment can be cited as an example of reliability :hmmmm2:
... but it's not from lack of maintenance ...
1. he already had the tracks
2. he only use the tracks during winter so flotation is not an issue
3. ground clearance in deep snow is a nice feature.
remember, most of us runs the machines on...
