I haven't posted much...but have read through a fair bit to get my Max IV running (gear train/drive line stuff).

If you keep reading...you'll be able to tell that I don't know a whole...

I had a similar issue...used to turn off with the key...then wouldn't (most of the time). I didn't replace the wiring harness/plugs...but I just spliced a kill switch in and grounded it to the stud...

Might not be the best thing to use...but I use the same sort of white lithium grease spray to get into the gears/chain at the back that's hard to reach...and I slather/gob on red grease by hand on...

Just a little follow up...

From 6x6 Parts...I bought
2x rear sprockets
2x rear drive chains
6x idler sprockets

The right side rear drive sprocket and chain were in really good shape still,...

I picked up an old MaxIV about a year ago. I don't know how old it is really...but it looks pretty old. It has the splined axles with set screws for the drive sprockets if that helps...the metal...
