I saw a youtube video where someone removed the front seat in a MAX IV and installed some framework to mount a tractor seat. The seat he used had suspension of its own built in.

I also have a 2005 MAX IV with the big 27 hp engine. I'm trying to make everything as heavy duty as I can. This info helps. Thanks.
Hold your brake levers to the rear when you try. Mine had a hard time going into reverse until I was told to do this. I don't know if it'll help your problem or not.

I bought a MAX IV and found out it had been neglected somewhat. I need a manual to tell how to adjust shift linkages as well as steering and brakes. Just sitting there you'd swear it was nearly new....
