yeah, put me on that list too!
Its a 1976 model according to manufacturer website.
argojim, did all the max's come with an insulated solenoid? My max iv has one, but looking at the wiring i assumed it to not be original equipment lol. By the way, your beer holder line is killing me!
just about any solenoid can be made to work, but to keep it the easiest, just compare the terminals. As for the battery, i believe that factory max atvs used a lawn and garden type battery.
The popping while turning stands a good chance to be stretched chains, bad sprocket, or loose chain. Either way not a bad fix. As for the getting shocked, You probably need to find a wiring diagram...
awesome! Thats just what I needed! Thanks
Just bought a 1979 max iv with the tecumseh 16hp. The belt that is on the machine is nowhere near the right size. (It rides too loose, and is only about 3/4" wide) Amazingly it does move though....
just bought a 1979 max iv. serial#6278. Let the work begin lol
Mine is a 1973 hustler 880. The brake rotor is welded to the sproket tube on the left center axle. When i got it it only had the brake lever (alot like what you might see in an old u-haul truck) and...
Me too! It kinda sucks to be loading wood into the trailer, and see your machine start to creep away from ya! lol
actually i just fabbed one up. And surprisingly enough it works great. Thanks for the offer though!
Does anybody have a picture of the parking brake caliper? Im using it for hauling firewood out of cutover timber in the hollers, and parking on the hills is killer. Ive still got the handle, and an...
265kph converts to about 164mph. I have personally been to 158mph on a little cbr600 f4I. So im inclined to agree with twizted1, the audi should've been smoked.
Wouldn't ya just love to get to go after that thing with a grubbin hoe? lol
I recently had to replace the front left bearings on a hustler 880 that i had only owned for a day. The previous owner had left the pin loose, and the axle was able to move ever so slightly in the...
sweet! Thats the info i was looking for, and i assumed to be right but didnt want to take the chance of burning up a stator or battery. I think i can assemble one locally for scratch. Thanks!
Yep, I have ac from the two yellow wires that come from the charge coils. According to the drawing in the service manual it originally used a ccw part#43-0715-10 which looks like it has a 7.5 amp...
Got the engine running and starting good (man this things fast for a newbie), now i just gotta get the charging system working. Looking at the drawings I'm seeing a rectifier. I don't have the...
funny, but you'd think that by the time you was a grown man you would have figured out what happens at that end of the shotgun. I'm assuming that's his first gun since he's shooting at bottles that...
Thanks don! that was fast, and just what i was lookin for!
