Helo, I have a 2001 Max II with splined axles. I am trying to replace the left front bearings. Everything has come apart except the brake rotor. It has set screws no e clips. I know the screws are out.. I have heated it red hot. Air hammer, small sledge hammer (bent the rotor) drilled out hole just in case, no luck. still tight. Any ideas?
I believe the last buffalo i did was the same way, you do have both set screws out yes?
I left the inner bearing installed, broke the outer bearing, heated rotor hub and using large punch hammered it loose inwards. I may have beat it ouwards also.
I do think there was an aligning snap ring though, could be wrong but maybe not.
Lots of blaster is your friend though probably not good for the respiratory system when smoking hot.
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.

Pretty sure no e clips, looked for them. Beat it with ahammer hen 2 more BFH, NO HELP.
I hade the same problem a couple of years ago, could not get the set screw out, ended up cutting it off��
Got new brake disc.
I nearly had the same problem on a rear axle, the set screws on the Sprocket was worn, but lucking it hammed off ok.
