    I got the red spring from RI (something like 25$)

    the reason it that I use the MAX IV mostly during winter week ends. Last year I was using argo plastic supertracks and it was borderline on the bandolero.

    This winter I will run an homemade set of 1.5" polaris tracks and trust me rubber is HEAVY , as are the metal tire guides. The 15"x1.5 rubber tracks and guides are about twice the weight of the non cleated plastic 18" argo tracks. But NOTHING beats the rubber when going uphill on snow/ice/rocks






    laser cut metal guides (1/8" steel) before bending on the press.
