    Impulse Buy

Greetings from Alaska! So...having never even ridden in a Max, I made an impulse decision to buy one simply because it looked too good to pass up. Bought a 1989 Max2 sight unseen (dumb) but the seller says it has a freshly rebuilt 25hp Rockwell and that he has replaced all of the seals and bearings and gone through the chains and sprockets and all is in good order. I have spent the last few days researching these machines and have yet to find any mention of the 25hp Rockwell anywhere online...am I missing something?

Well, buying sight unseen on the word of the seller can cause a bit of trepidation, but you may luck out. Best wishes on your new purchase, and you will have to update us with ride results and photos!

295 probably, I think the 340 was rated between 28-30

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.
