My shifter rod keeps bending and I'm making a new one out of aluminum square tubing. Can anybody tell me what the ideal length is from eyehole to eyehole? When I shift it into forward gear, the shift level will touch the floor. I think I need to make it longer, but would like an exact measurement if possible.
