    Chain Slack

I just picked up a 1991 max II and the chains are tightened but they still hit the bottom of the tub. Do I need to replace the chains?

Ben, I am not a MAX guy but if you have your tensioners as far as they go and you are dragging on your plastic, time to get new chains. That is just my thinking. There are 1000 or more Max guys on here, they all know more then I do about a MAX. Sounds like you have a lot of play in the chains.

Yes on new chains I'm an argo guy but chains are chains. You should also look at your sprockets for wear. When I did mine I thought just chains till they came off and more of the sprockets were revealed and lots of shark fins for teeth.
