I see the oil outlet but how do you make the oil come out?

If it's cold you may want to run the motor for a few seconds before you try to drain it. Otherwise it should come right out.

The Kohler 23 Command does need warming up like Mike said as well to drain instead of a plug at the base in the rear is a valve. To open it you twist it (counter-clock wise I think) and pull it towards the rear of the machine about 1/2 inch. When done push back in until it stops and twist it one quarter turn to close. When you look at it close you'll see how it works.

Ahh thanks guys, it just looks like a black nipple to me, I guess it turns and pulls, it's so covered with gunk hard to tell right now!
