  1. Had a couple over the years. If you aren't running front chains it will be less load. What year is yours? They went to ETD 150 steel in 2008 and they seem more brittle than the 8620 steel used in earlier machines. I would buy an axle and have on hand.
  2. Hi, I read about rusty snapping a front axel at the snap ring groove. I run bearing cages and rubber tracks. Have you ever seen an axel snap at the groove with bearing cages? just wondering if this is something I need to worry about?
