Jim, I took the 18 out of the max 4 after Busco, it runs perfect I put new starter and new pull cord assembly. It comes with max 4 muffler. I only removed it to put a new 27 kohler. I'm not sure what these are going for. Just make me a fair offer. I sold the t20. I have a 94 t20 I'm rebuilding but won't be ready for Busco, might have another old style t20 (already made deal but no money seen yet) might be in the truck Thurs.. I'll post engine pics in my gallery cause I can't post on here... Norm..

    Hi Jim,

I had a Hustler 900. Poly body, disc brake on the center axle, K440 Kohler 2 stroke, 21" Rawhides. It sounds to be an older model, early to mid 70's? There were some 945 and 950's didn't have air holes in the earlier versions, but the later model 950 and 980 had air holes with the plastic scoop mounted backwards. There were 900 models that have air holes with the plastic scoops mounted forward, but I think this was a problem because they collected too much debris in there. I wish I could give you more info, but there are just so many unknowns with Hustler. Ah well, anyway, post a pic and I'll see what other info I can provide. Take care.

argojim, john here in va. i would like to understand the difference in the adair or chanel style tracks with the belting on just the sides, compared to the plastic or rubber tracks that the pad or belt is solid all the way across. do the adair give good floatation in deep snow? are they o.k. to run on regular terrain without snow or mud? looking to buy a set, but want to make sure they are good. i like the adair set with the offset aluminum rims, 20'' tires and the track set. i talked to tim about them this morning. thanks, johnboy va.
