  1. I can feel the heat from my engine, but it's chilly out here now. Feels good! My muffler is out by the side vent with a fan blowing over it, though. I was thinking of some how putting the original cooling tin over the exhaust pipes... being insulated double wall it should help keep the heat off me. I want to get more air to the engine first... some how cut the original intake to work.

BTW... what belt do you run, and how do I change mine? The one I have is way to narrow, and maybe to short.
  2. Hi Jeff; On your note, one thing comes to mind i regards to having the Briggs powering your t-boss. It's the heat that is generated from the engine in the tub. I don't know about yours, but mine really cooks the back (and MY back) of my drivers seat due to the muffler being right there. I have wrapped my muffler (Even with the mufflers cooling tin) with aluminum flexible, 3 inch clothes dryer duct and ran a fan through it to help disturse/move the heat under the seat and to warm my legs in front. As I said, it still gets hot on the back. I have a part number for an adhesive aluminum heat pad that I was planning to apply to the back (Inside of tub) of the seat to help further deflect the heat. (Toro part number) Runs about 40 bux, but I haven't gotten around to getting it yet and installing it.
  3. Hi Jeff... we have a lot in common. I have a TB with a 16hp B&S. I'm even named Jeff as well! I have some questions about mine, and I'm sure I'll have more soon. This one is new to me, but in good shape. I also have another tub, and extra parts. I'm going to see about fitting the original cooling tin for the B&S. Right now it's in there with only an electric fan.

Any tips, pictures, help would be great! Jeff
