Hey all! Long time since I have posted. Rebuilding my t20 from my 2000 max IV. First time I have rebuilt it. Tore it apart and first off noticed there is not one thrust washer anywhere to be found!...
Awesome work. What size diamond plate did you use on the floorboard? Did you add any extra support underneath to help?
Go and search "dual battery solution" on the max site. I upgraded to the same setup some one was running on there. ran both batteries in parallel and have absolutely no trouble running winch,...
Nice work djgeiman! Great fabrication and welding!
Awesome looking Max! Great Job. How big of a battery are you going to go with? Im thinking about bumping mine up as well.
I used livewell plugs. They work great! not sure on the size, but I got them on ebay. About 6 of them (spares) for about $15.
Yes I had well over 600 lbs. I like the idea of small pontoons. I am going to look into it. I have seen a few pics on the site. Im thinking of sch. 40 pvc with end caps. Seems like a good idea.
I have a 2000 Max IV and to say the least I have added WEIGHT to it! I added a front push bumper that I welded myself and that thing probably weighs around 80 pounds itslef plus the winch I mounted...
Sounds good ill try tomorrow. Thanks
Anyone know why Max Recreatives phone is down? Have been trying to call but all I get is beeping.
Thanks, yes I do have access. I heated the sprocket a good bit and they really would not budge. I was thinking of using a stainless allen head screw to hold them in there this time with a little...
I am changing the bearings in my 2000 max IV and I have finally got both front axles off. The main problem I had was with the sprocket. There are 2 set screws in the same hole. The first came out...
Thanks for the info. I'm ordering bearings now
Sounds were at full speed mostly. I have pulled the clutch off and put the factory one back on. Have not got it all back together yet, but will soon and let you know my outcome. The clutch was...
Do you have to remove the engine and the transmisison to change the bearing in the rear wheels on the max IV? Seems like the whole axle has to come out. Thanks
Mike thanks for the reply. I have removed the transmission and I am going to take the clutch wheel off. I don't understand how to rebuild the clutch myself. I can't even tell how to take the thing...
Thanks for all the prior help on my max IV guys! I have another question about the secondary clutch on my max IV. Im defintely not experienced with how these work, but I see my secondary has three...
I am wondering what I need to fix if water is leaking around the axles of my max IV. Would that mean I need new wheel seals? It seems to pour in on the middle axle.
I paid $4000 for my max IV year 2000. It has the 20 hp kohler. Sounds like to much money for a 16hp. Mines in great shape too!
