The new ignition switch didn't solve the problem, so I ordered a new starter/solenoid from Argo Adventures. When it arrives, I'll take it to my mechanic for installation. Thanks for your help.

Great idea on the bolt "spreader," but, as it turns out, I don't have the Invance driven clutch which are on the 2008 and newer. Mine's a 2005.
