What a deal on a Buffalo! I love mine. The manual is now available on-line if you don't have a printed one. Info you need regarding chain tightening should be found there. By the way, although Recreatives will tell you they don't leak while swimming, it is way too easy to overgrease the bearings, which will make them leak. I installed two 500 gph bilge pumps in mine, which will handle most situations just fine.

I am from North Carolina, and I have an Argo 6x6 2009 Frontier 580 model. Great machine. I love it! As a matter of fact, I like all old and new amphibious machines. I once had a Sierra Trail Boss 6x6. Unique in having two transmissions, one for each side! ........ anyways, just wanted to say hi, and I always look forward to riding!

You've got a Hustler 950. It's a great machine with a bulletproof T-20 and Kohler drivetrain. You'll have a nice machine when you get it up and going. Take a look at the reply I'm writing to your other post. Also, post some pics too if you get a chance. Welcome to the site!

Hi everyone! I joined this board to see what kind of following 6x6's had. Its neat to see that there's still a lot of them running strong! I guess you could say that I'm a third generation 6 wheeler. My grandfather worked for the vesely company out of lapeer Michigan, which manufactured the sierra trail boss. When they closed, he purchased a good amount of the remaining inventory. When he passed away, my father, Dan Dowling, took over and is still occasionally selling parts. Although I've never owned a six wheeler, I have gotten a few that my dad has running and put them through their paces. I am currently looking at a trailboss, which seems like the logical choice(discount parts ;-)) for my girlfriend and I to drive around the family farm. I'm looking forward to spending more time on this site sifting through all the information!
