    2000 Max II

I appreciate this forum, lot of knowledge in here. I have been ready posts tying to learn more about how to fix my problems so I out it up on paint cans and ran the drive system. The left hand jack shaft looks like the sprockets are to close together and the chains keep catching and the left side front drive is rubbing on the bottom of the chain tensioner. all the wheels are turning evenly with no wobble. The left side front chain is either really tight or really loose as is the drive chain from the transmission. the rear chain seems fine. Looking closer at the gears it looks like a previous owner welded new gears onto the shafts, it is clearly not professional welds. I suspect they didn't get the bottom 3 gears spaces right and they are lopsided on the shaft giving me the tight and loose chains. There are also no collars on the axle shafts, just small set screws on the shaft of the gears. any advise would be appreciated max.jpgmax 2.jpg

I beat the axle out of the gear this afternoon. 95 and high humidity. the spacing is 7/8 on the larger one and 9/16 on the smaller, all 3 gears are 22 tooth. I chucked it in the lathe and it has quite a wobble.max II LH sprocket.jpgmax II LH sprocket.jpg

I ordered a new gear and installed it this morning. Eaverything appears to be good but veer to the right when running straight. The right hand lever feels like it engages when you push or pull the left hand lever is limp. Do I need to order the adjustment spacers to it right?
