Delrin is awesome stuff. Not only is it EXTREMELY durable, it's also super slick. It's the only plastic I can think of off-hand that is machined, not molded or formed.

Can you buy replacement teflons for the Max II from RI? It looks like they would just rivet on.I know you can buy the whole adjuster but I hear they are expensive, the teflons probably are as well.I would like to see a picture of the new teflons to judge how bad mine are worn. There are grooves worn in the teflon but it isn't through.

Larry is correct, you can purchase just the teflon. There are several pictures in the how to section of the site: How to replace Max II chain adjusters

Thanks Mike. That is a good post on teflon replacement.Mine aren't completely worn out but I have the machine tore down for bearings and its a great chance to do it with the chains out of the way.

As an update to this thread.....I did end up using the roller style ones on this machine and they worked fine.
UHMW polyethelyne is what the Adair tracks are made from....it will wear out eventually, but if the rollers roll, it will take a long, long time. OR: The stuff is cheap enough....just replace them when you replace chain if you are worried about it.

It is standard unistrut, 7/8" tall, std. is approx. 1 5/8 wide. It should be available at any industrial supply, bolt supply store or McMaster-Carr
I bought everything from mcmaster carr.
