Hi everyone, my name is Bob and I reside in Florida. I'm 66 yrs young and purchased a New toy. I just purchased a 1997 Max IV. It has a few issues and I'm really glad this site is here to help. I have spent a lot of time reading the posts to obtain information about the Max IV. This amphibious machine is all new to me. I have a Polaris 4X4 that I use at the hunt camp. I also am an avid Airboater. Looking forward to using the Max on hunt property that has some swamp that the 4 wheeler keeps tryin to throw this ole fella. Again glad to know this site is here, with people willing to help. Thanks

Hi Tdog here . Located in Northern Ontario, Picked up a Max II this morning . Runs like a champ but tracks to the right slightly. Has the vanguard 14 hp engine. Looks like a 1994 from what the previous owner told me. The guy had kept all the records of what was done to it and it has been well maintained. Great site here, looking forward to learning all about this Max.

Hi, I just purchased a 1999 Argo 6x6 Bigfoot with tracks a few months back. I live in New Hampshire on its Largest lake. 72 Square mile Lake Winnipesaukee. I have been primarily using my Argo for ice fishing. Its ideal for getting on and off the ice safely. I am excited to travel through the swamps and mountain terrain this summer. I have pulled a lot of great information of this site in the limited time I have owned my Argo and it also helped me in my decision making of my purchase. Glad to be a part of the forum so I can start asking more direct questions.
    Kind Regards, Lance

Hello everyone!! My name is Darrel. I am new to 6x6. I recently purchased a Max 4 with serial # 12377, year somewhere in the 1990's. I bought in bad shape it was left out in the weather full of water so every thing will need some attention. Chains are rusted so bad I had to cut them off with a plasma cutter so I could move it. Center sprockets missing teeth due to rust. Can't believe someone would let a machine sit and rust out. Owners should have sold long time ago.

Hello Darrel, welcome to the forum. Good luck with your rebuild. It's a shame the machine was in such bad shape from the weather but it's good to see you working to get it going again.
