Is it possible to do this? I replaced both rear axels last year and added Richard's cup washers... still busting bolts every now and then. Only on the back two. It stinks to replace them when you are...
What a cool time! I really like those BC racks, non-typical is what attracts me the most about them. Tell your pal those are awesome vids, keep making and posting them. I love it!
Cool, that gives you a chance for a nice meat-moose early in the season.
Does everything count for points in BC, like eye guards, palm/paddle points, and brow tines?
Very cool! Alaska rocks!
When is BC's season and what is legal?
My area is spike or fork, 50 inches plus, or three brow tines on at least one side. It opens Aug.24 usually, but not this year.
I got him back from the processor's last friday...
Ate some tasty backstrap steaks. Very tender and tasty!
Roadtorque,
Well, sounds like I'll see you in the woods next season! Like BC said, you just quarter him up and throw him in bags.
BCsteve, I have always been jealous of huge BC moose. We have big...
I would have jumped out and wrestled mine over onto it's roof so I could say I "flipped" it rather than admit to getting stuck. :hahaha:
Seriously, when I first took my out, I got caught on a log...
Take someone who owns a aatv along with you when you go to look at one.
Study the photos of the inards of healthy aatvs on this site before you shop.
Old aatvs are half the price of new for a...
I got my moose two days ago while hunting near my home in Wasilla, Alaska. I packed out my moose-packing partner, our gear, and almost 400lbs of moose in one trip. I had to go back in because some...
Love those Alaskan swamps. Tracks sound awesome!
I have a Max IV. Going down some real steep hills around here I just pull the sticks all the way back and let off a little at a time, sometimes alternating between left and right until I arrive at...
Sometimes it can be a couple of chain sections starting to rust up. Also the tension. Those back ones need to be real tight.
It doesn't sound like a catagator will compare for the kind of things I do in the Max/ Or well, it looked so cool with the tracks and enclosed cab. Thanks for the advice, guys!
I am curious how a clean Catagator 23hp, which has six tires and tracks stacks up against my late nineteen nineties 20hp Max IV with 26 inch tires, roll cage, winch, etc.
What are the pros and...
From the videos I saw on Youtube, those Oxx are very capable machines. I'd like to see some swamp/muskeg vids from riders of all makes. I ride alone alot so I am curious how well AATVs handle the...
Of course I would rather break bolt than chain! It is just a pain to jack the motor, remove the clutch, and replace the one bolt you can't normally reach in the middle of the trail! The other five...
update-
I went thru the whole thing and decided that 1/2" play up or down was too much play for the rear axels. I tightened them up tighter than Dick's hatband and rode four hours in the mountains...
So I need to find some cold rolled grade 5 bolts? Does crAPA have them or do I need to hit up Grangers?
