    New Kid on the block

Hello I'm George, 39 from Texas. I've had this L.T.V. KID with my dad since '83 or '84. My dad got it from one of his friends who bought it new. It's been in the weather for awhile now in another location. It will be on a list of restoration projects I have. A shop/shed is on the top of the list to get things out of the weather. I'll have a ton of questions once I get started, esp sources for new/used parts. One question I have is who rebuilds the Vickers hydrolic pumps.
Thanks, I'm looking forward to getting to know everybody and enjoying my stay.

I've been reading over the posts and looking at all the pictures. We've done work on it before, plus I'm a certified machinist so that should be helpful. We had a shop manual for it, but since hurricane Ike we can't recall seeing it.
    I sent an email.

Does anybody know how many of these are still around, or know how many were produced? Other than these on this site, I've never seen another one.

Glad to have you George.....nice project to fix up. You need to post up your progress as you fix the old girl up. Good luck with the machine and hope to see you around on the site.

I like the old cars in the background too.

Thanks for all the posts. Once I get into the restoration, I'll post my before pictures and the progress as it goes along. I'll also send emails and post new questions as I have them.

I love cars, esp. old ones. I've got some of them for sale too.

Just out of curiosity, does anybody know the biggest or most powerful engine that can be fitted to one of these?
