Picked this up and stuck need a clutch and a transmission shaft. Think its a 1970-1973? anyone confirm, no plate of numbers on frame or body. Engine is NOT original.12744174_801004263337705_4430410006536883583_n.jpg12718275_801005010004297_7407969680398766169_n.jpg12742764_801004173337714_6334818745333053085_n.jpg Anyone with either a transmission shaft or left side clutch (when sitting in machine) please contact me at edwardevans13@hotmail.com Shaft made from 4340 heat treated 80 bucks at local machine shop Managed to get clutch fixed but going to redo pads. Body almost fixed, taking break to do some mechanical before I go plastic weld crazy. Over 150 pictures now posted on DIYGoKart site.

Believe member stevereg had a complete machine for sale up there in need of repairs, try contacting him.

To be honest, I wouldn't even bother doing anything besides parting this machine out. This is one of the last models of Amphicat, which I believe were made by Magna Corporation in Raymond, Mississippi. This transmission is known for exploding like that......hopefully it didn't happen while you were driving. Look for an Argo, Max, Hustler, Attex, or some other machine that is much more stout and reliable. There are low priced machines that only need minor work that pop up from time to time.

Amphicat Project - DIY Go Kart Forum

Appears to be a 1970-1973 Beehoo Canadian made Amphicat B9 confirmed by frame and transmission, complete and running, link is to a site I'm posting pics of the project, feel free to leave comments there. Daily work being done and should be done in about a month, depending on cash flow.

Thanks for sharing the photos. I think it's cool to see someone revive a machine that was so far gone. It's not something that I would want to do but I like watching others do the hard work. Keep us posted.

You have no idea the amount of work I've had to do. I just hope the repair stick and don't break the first time I have it out.
