Awesome vids, looks like you have it working good, which is a good thing, doesn't look like a place I'd want to have to walk back out of.

riotwarrior....I am missing the breather on my trans, but here is a pic of where I think it goes. 12715
Thank you for that link, now I understand how this trans works. I got my engine running...
riotwarrior....Could you please post the link to your Hagen trans video, my Ridge Runner has one of these in it also, I'd like to know more about it. I got my engine,( Kohler 618 ), to fire this...
Sonny...My machine is a different model than yours and the track looks to be different. Your track is a solid track, this one I have has slots on it to engage the drive cog, yours has lugs moulded...
Got it home...pretty rough, probably a better parts machine than a project, needs alot of work and missing a track also.

That Ridge Runner is different than the one I'm picking up, the track on that does look like a Trackster. Good looking machine. The track on mine is open where the drive cogs are, like a snowmobile. ...
I stopped and looked at the one I saw in the weeds tonight. It looks pretty complete, I'm going to pick it up tomorrow.
The tracks on a Trackster are totally different. The tracks on the Ridge...
I know where one of those is sitting in the weeds, I drive by it everyday on my way home from work, never paid much attention to it until you posted about yours. All I can see of it from the road is...
Here is a short vid I did awhile ago showing how a 4WS COOT steers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7gYJAT_2ZI&list=UULb46pP8Z3FTZq5fVm6TKDA

The brakes on the COOTs were pretty simple, as was the rest of the machine. There was a rotor disc mounted on the shaft coming out of the front torque box, mounted on a bracket above the disc was a...
I've had a few of them, presently have a 4WS, 18HP Vanguard, winch, propeller outdrive, they will go anywhere. Here is a pic, an older pic, I'll have to take a new pic that shows the winch and new...
Nice looking machine, I like the Cat yellow. Someday I'm going to find one close enough to me to buy, I want one bad...

Yes, it looks to be all original and in rebuildable shape. Very little rust on frame, sprockets look good, I'll throw new chains on it, new battery, and a gas tank, guessing she'll run.

Yup, that's it. Thanks...

I just dragged this out of a field. There is a tag under the dash that says:
Vesley Company
LaPeer Michigan
Serial Number 01764
There are 2 transmissions, one for each side, they also say...
I'm not sure if leaving that 1/8" line open is a good idea, it might introduce more air into the system, that is supposed to be a closed loop circuit. I'm guessing more oil and stop the pop-off...
Change those leaking valves and put another quart of Type "F" ATF in it, see what happens...
Coop
Gregg...Well, my Trackster orginally had a snowplow on it, so maybe that is why there was a check valve in mine and not yours. Thinking about it, I think if you overfill the trans it will prime and...
I've installed a 23 HP Briggs in a Trackster for a friend w/o having to cut the cover. I only had to slightly modify the hydro control rods to clear the top of the engine.
Coop
I understand, no offence intended, I was just throwing my opinion out there as food for thought. Good luck with the project.
