my ampihcat thats came a long ways

i posted about this thing a few times on here and done tons of work to it(even had someone ask me how its coming) i know most don't like to paint the body's on these but this one was so beat i had to do something to make it look good. the paint is rustolum rock tan paint i have about 15 cans on it. the bottom black is bed liner which both have held up great the bed liners been on for about a year+ the rock paints had 1 day of riding in the trails and held up really nice.

it started out looking like this photo.jpg

ive up graded to 1 1/4 4140 chromoly custom made axles has pined max 2 sprockets.. yest its still only #40chain. that's a plan to change..

i also have upgraded to a Briggs 18hp vanguard, only reason for re-power was to simply only have to add gas, and the old 2 cycle was having issues with the carb. i know the transmission prob gonna die so that's next on my list the shaft threw the trans has been changed/upgraded to 01a drill rod. it broke once. most pics are current some do still show the old 2 cycle motor.
this is how it currently sat before the 18hp upgrade

heres some pics of the upgrade made a homemade header but it needs mufflers its just way to loud. also the way i made it i can always go back to the 2 cycle if i wanted to. i also picked up a brand new comet 780 clutch from mgf. i have a few extra cans of the rock paint to touch up were i had to cut the body to fit the 18hp motor.

and i had to just share this. this is an app on my phone.

Nice job on the amphicat.......I just bought one without engine and contemplating what to throw in it. Maybe a 10HP diesel? Not sure....but seeing your work has inspired me to get busy.
