Amphibious ATV on Trucks TV (Spike TV)

Did any of you catch that episode of Trucks TV on Spike TV where Stacy got an amphibious ATV going. It looked similar to the Sur-Trek 8x8 that Jeff posted about http://www.6x6world.com/forums/other...-trek-8x8.html

What kind was that? It wasn't a Coot was it?

I barely remember seeing it but can't find anything mentioned online.

Mike, I didnt see the episode, but it could have been a Kidd 8x8 or a Catagator. Both machines were built with all steel hulls, just like the coot. There was a Kidd and a Catagator on ebay last month. They are big machines, pretty powerful too if I remember correctly. I ll see if I can find some pictures. Maybe someone has that clip of Trucks TV on Youtube.

I didn't see the episode, but I've seen this one on a show my boys were watching. Is this it?

Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

    (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

    Don,

That is one cool machine but that's not it. The one on trucks was a lot smaller . It was about the width of an Attex and there was no cover or roll bar. I will look some more online later tonight.

Don, isnt that a Hagalunds? (spelling) Those things look pretty cool and it seems like they are a similar concept to the AMF Sur-Trek with the two cars connected in the middle.

It's been a couple of months since this was posted but John emailed me earlier today with a link to watch the episode online so I finally got to see it again. I was a little off. It wasn't Trucks TV, it was Gearz but with the old host of Trucks, Stacy David.

It was a Sur Trek and this is definitely an episode worth watching.

You have to sign up (it's free) with a valid email address to watch it but I promise it's worth it. Once you get signed up click on "shows" at the top and it is episode #2

Update: I was posting that last post while I was watching the episode and guess what? It's not all there. They only let you watch 6 minutes of the episode and you don't actually get to see him drive it. At least I'm getting closer to seeing that episode again

Mike, here is another post where the Sur-Trek was mentioned......

    http://www.6x6world.com/forums/other....html#post7137

I wonder if Marc was able to come across the episode or pictures from the show. I looked on Youtube and I also came across an ATV forum asking what the 8x8 amphibous vehicle was on Gearz, but no luck. Maybe we could email the show and tell them about our forum and explain that if they were to provide us with a variety of pics and videos of the episode it would generate interest and provide the show with some exposure with all of the membrs on this site.

Jeff, they actually put the episode and pictures on the web. If you click that link 3 or 4 posts up that I posted it takes you to the Sur Trek page. You just have to scroll down a little. They are actually some pretty good pics
