    Question Plowing with a 6 x 6

Picking up a 23hp Kohler Argo 6 x 6 today. I already got a set of Argo 18" rubber tracks and an Argo plow. Should this setup plow snow ok?
And without the plow on, should this unit out perform my old Conquest that had the plastic super tracks in snow and mud?
I wanted the new 950 Aurora but just could part with that much cash.

Yes it I’ll plow snow! These things are basically unstoppable and with rubber tracks will perform well in snow...don’t know about mud though. Lots of folks run in mud and have a blast. Enjoy your Argo and post plowing pics!

The plow is a little heavy for the 6x6 when in the air but I push it with Lindsay's Bigfoot.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Got a wet heavy snow last weekend, about 6”.
The Argo worked great after I put a 40# water softener bag in the back seat. It was more fun than using my tractor too

Good to hear! Have not plowed with mine but have used a 4 wheeler to plow and the Argo has way more weight and traction than the wheeler!

The Argo will plow great, we used a different brand plow but it pushes snow with ease.

I have an 8x8 with tracks and it plows very well. The biggest issue is the the plow is gravity based so at times you need to do many passes to clear an area as the plow will float up.
This happens when we have not been up to camp and I'm trying to move feet of snow.
I added the ice cleats and they help give it more traction in the heavier stuff.

As I have posted in other threads you will want to get a battery charger. I installed one under my seat (a mini Norco) so that I could plug in overnight after a long day of plowing.
The up and down with the winch will slowly kill you battery and without the Alt kit the battery will slowly be depleted.

Here is a video to show what it looks like:

Nice video & nice setup. I think I'll do the same for my 6x6. Thanks

    Here is the Plug:

    And this is the Charger:

You can get the mini but it takes 10-12 hours to charge and I wanted less time.

I will also be adding on of there Boost Kits until I figure out the dual battery setup.
I think they would be handy to have around anyways just to help someone in a car.

Nice setup. What is a boost kit?

I did look at these for an engine power boast. I found it on this site in a different thread.
