I saw that Amphicat you got on Craigslist. Welcome to the site. Here's what I'd do. Measure how much room you have from the engine mount to the engine cover and then compare it with the dimensions of the Briggs 16HP Vanguard here:
Briggs & Stratton Vanguard Horizontal V-Twin Engine — 16 HP, 1in. x 2 29/32in. Shaft, Model# 305447-3075-G1 | 391cc - 600cc Briggs & Stratton Horizontal Engines| Northern Tool + Equipment
"Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"
thanks for the info am still waiting to see how the jlo runs also i think i have to get a new clutch
for what i have found that the rpm on a 4 stroke is slower than the 2 stroke
p.s looks like the b&s motor might fit but it will be close
took out he jlo and put in a 340cc yamaha snowmobile motor that i had for
20 year and ran great and said there is not to much snow here in wi and
now i have it in the amphicat i runs great if any one need help with this
upgrade let me know have pics
