Max II Winch mounting bracket advise please

I am looking at making a winch mounting bracket for my max II ,what thickness of steel plate would you use? 5mm?

I can send pics of mine in about two weeks. It’s 1/4” aluminum. Factory was 3/16” right at 5mm. Just sent email. Didn’t realize you were in the UK.

I think that is plenty thick, I've made several like that, just remember to use an inner plate as well for strength, mine all have four bolts holding the inner and outer panels sandwiched over the front of the body. I've actually picked mine up into the air fully suspended to test the strength and no issues.

Noel, do you still have those pics? I just picked up a Max II and have a 4500# atv winch id like to install on it. Are just the body bolts around the perimeter enough to hold this thing together when winching? Thanks
