    Sold My Wedge

Sold my Wedge to Shaun Seymour, he was the Engineer who worked with John Plessinger, in the development of the Wedge. He and Bill, A.K.A. Wildman Stopped up to the house the other day. Shaun had some great stories about the early days with Sperry Rand and New Holland and a real good story about the AMF Surt-trek. I'll ask Shaun if I can tell the Sur-trek story... IT'S FUNNY!!!!! It was great meeting both of them! I think at some point Bill is going to post all the info that Shaun has given him.

Yeah, Shaun said it brought back a lot of good memories. He had a really good time telling Bill and I, all the History and we had a really good time listening! The Wedge was sitting in my Garage for 8 years. It was time for it to go to a new home. I'm glad it went to one, of the two designers. Bill, *Wildman* picked the Wedge up for Shaun, today. I told him he needs to bring his Tricarts to Ashtabula next year. Shaun needs to come too. I'm sure John P and He would have a great time!!!!!

Nice to meet you too Joe. Now you should have plenty of spare time to work on your Tricart. I still have the Wedge on my trailer and will deliver it to Shaun today. I'll try to keep up with his progress on this project. Shaun has sent me many emails with random stories of the old days at SPD. I posted one of them on the http://www.6x6world.com/forums/other...w-holland.html thread. If I can figure out a coherent way to present these stories, I'll post some of the better ones.

Joe... are you sure that you can't spare a couple of those balloon tires from your vast collection for my Tricub??

I still have mine. My kids are still bugging me to get it finished so they can drive it. My new shop will be done this fall, so maybe this winter I'll get some time to get it going. I would love to see the restoration progress to give me a bit of inspiration. I would also like to find a factory roll cage for it at a reasonable price. No Jeff, I don't need a jet pump

I never said it didn't run, I just need to get it finished. You know finished.....turn the key, take a ride , turn the key, take another ride. It's not there yet. I had some bugs with the 4-stroke conversion and never did have the time or space to get them sorted out. The last ride in the yard, the wheel and tire fell off. It has some bugs. I want my kids to be able to to take it on the trails and bring it back under its own power.
