Hey gang, I bought a older max IV several months ago and decided to put a roll bar on the unit for additional safety. Any one who has made one, vs a standard commercial unit. I have a friend in a body shop, and it appears that it would be sufficiently cheaper than the commercial unit. advise is allways welcome.
It would be fairly easy. There would only be a total of six bends in the tubing. Two for each "hoop" and then two very slight bends on the connecting tubing between the front and rear hoops. Some angle iron for the body mounts and you are done. If you search the site I believe someone has posted the measurements in the past.
Can anyone post the exact dimensions of the factory Max IV roll bar so that we have it for all? The factory roll bar is very expensive, but it looks like it would be dirt cheap to fabricate. Uncle Vin
