Does anyone know why ODG made the outboard mounts offset instead of just keeping them in the center? I have not been able to see one up close. How does it attach to the Argo and the hitch receiver? Is it clamped to the body seam up top? Thanks.
John
Also anyone got any ideas on how to setup remote steering for an outboard so that I could sit in the front of the argo and steer an outboard? I know they make throttle/shift controls, but not sure about steering.
Actually when running the outboard from the back the offset makes sense. You sit on the side in the back seat and it is quite comfortable to steer the motor. With two people in the back and the motor the attitude changes where the front is more out of the water. I am not sure this is why it was made this way the Conquest is in the middle land worked well also, but i like the off set.
