    Brad, here's some pics for you. The uhmw is attached with 5/16" elevator bolts and the locknuts are countersunk. The stainless is through bolted with 1/4" bolts. Despite the way better traction I found the cleats to make the track more ridged and a lot less chance of running out of them if a tire loses air pressure. I also attached a picture of the drill bit needed to go through the rubber.

    Cab heater

    Last year I rigged up a heater from a forklift under the front seat angled up towards the windshield. I plumbed it off of the liquid cooled Kawasaki. Along with a two speed fan controler it got plenty warm enough. Still had to mount a fan up on the roll bar aimed at the windshield to defrost it. Along with the windshield wiper it's a lot easier to see. ( more on the wiper later). Just thought I'd pass this along if some of you are looking for heat this winter.

    could you at all send a pic of what you did? I just acquired my first max iv and the 25hp engine is having trouble right now with the cold weather. if I try to move it at all without waiting at least 30 minutes for it to warm up it stalls, but as soon as it warms up it could run forever

    what did you use for the cleat was it a peace of angle made of aluminum??

    I'm assuming you're talking about the cleats on the tracks? They're stainless flat bar. 1 1/4"x 1/8"

    Max windshield wiper

    Finally got the windshield wiper done. It will come in handy when going through the trees when they're flocked with snow. Ill no longer have to stop get out and brush it off. I can park the wiper anywhere with the one speed motor.

    That's a good size wiper hitting most of the windshield, the heater on water cooled is a great idea for those in the cold. Is it under the driver seat or the rear seat?


    My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.
