clutch removal.
I am trying to remove the primary clutch from a 1991 Vanguard with a 16 hp opposed engine. All i can find is that I need to remove the bolt holding the clutch to the pto shaft. There is no bolt. Is the clutch screwed on to the shaft like the early Skidoo Rotax engines? If so is there a tool to remove said clutch or will I have to make one?
Most of the magnum engine Argos I have seen are threaded. Pull one plug and feed a chunk of 1/4” rope into cylinder to lock the crankshaft. If I remember right the clutch has flats to use a wrench on.

You are correct. I ended up pulling the engine, which was a matter of about an hour(?) total. I put a wrench on the flats and gave the wrench a smack with the hammer and off it came. I was prepared to put the rope in but didn't need to.
